WINDSOR

Wearing... H&M dress, F&F Cardi, Marc Jacobs bag, Zara brogues.

Soaking in some history in one of the most beautiful towns in the U.K. The sun was out, and so were the tourists, but I embraced the sight seer in me and brought my camera along. In hindsight, black tights and a cardigan were probably not the best combo. Ah well, live and learn eh?!

ROYAL BLUE

Wearing - Tunic, H&M, Cardigan, H&M, Jewellery and Sunglasses, Primark, Heels, Urban Outfitters.

This colour is so striking, the photos just don't do it justice. I think I probably could have gotten away with the size down, I seem to look a bit swamped in these photos, but I love it none the less. I should have taken a photo without the cardigan really, but it's a t-shirt shape with a slight capped sleeve and then just hangs however it pleases. It seems to have photographed quite turquoise? Oops, it is actually a very royal blue, the necklace shot is probably the closest. Lesson learnt there!
These sunglasses have not left my face since I picked them up for a steal in Primark, although as far as sunglasses go for purpose, they are the worst. They give no protection from glare or anything else sunglasses are meant to do, they just look damn cool. And that's alright with me.
I found this cardigan in H&M recently, as all of my others seem to have been nibbled on by fairies and are just falling apart at the seams. The fabric is lightweight, and very soft, yet it has enough weight to it that it hangs beautifully and sort of shimmys when you walk. Plus it already has a rolled up sleeve, which is a personal fav.

On a personal note, I've decided enough is enough and it's time to shape up. I've given myself the goal of graduation (a month and a bit away) to drop a dress size and finally start making the changes I've longed to for so long. I feel like by putting this on here for all of you to see, It'll make sure I do it as I don't want to look stupid. If anyone has any tips or tricks in how to break the bad habits and turn my life into a healthy one, please do share, we can all help each other together!
I've been feeling so inspired on the blog front recently, but as soon as I see the pictures it reminds me that I'm not in fact Jessica Stein or Nicole Warne, and that's okay, but I'm going to do my best to get as close as I can.

Enjoy the sun lovelies!

GONE TO THE DARKSIDE IN MOTEL ROCKS

Wearing - Shirt, Motel Rocks (similar here), Disco Pants, Primark, Shoes, Urban Outfitters, Sunglasses and Jewellery, Primark.

This last week has been so busy, I have so much to share with you but I've just had no time. I'm currently back home for Graduate Fashion Week (which was so busy, but more on that later) so it has been nice to spend some time with my family.
I've gone back to brunette after a short few months being blonde, the dye was killing my hair so I thought it was time to go back to my roots - no pun intended! - to try and save my locks. What do you think?

This shirt from Motel Rocks is a personal favorite, I love the boxy cut and eye-catching Forest Print. I picked it up at the sample sale at work, but you can get the black version online, it's definitely one of those pieces that can easily translate from day to night, and will be staying in my wardrobe fro a very long time.
I've paired it with the standard Disco Pants and my Urban Outfitters heels which are so so comfy, I managed to go a whole 7 hours on my feet in them on Wednesday before they started aching, not bad!

Have you been enjoying the sun?

BLACK ON BLACK

Shift top - Topshop (via a charity shop) similar here
Strap top (worn underneath) - Primark
Disco pants - Primark
Cardigan - New Look
Necklace - Primark
Scarf - Souvenir shop in Windsor
Shoes - New Look similar here
This flag scarf is one of those little gems you happen to stumble across from time to time. I was out being a typical tourist in Windsor, and popped into one of the souvenir stores. I fell in love with it. It can be worn in so many ways, (you can practically wear it as a dress thanks to the sheer size of it!) but I like to drape it simply around my shoulders and let it hang with the wind. I much prefer the colours in this to standard GB things, I like that it's slightly mottled, and is muted compared to the in your face brights of the primary colours in normal Union Jacks. What do you think?
I decided to pair it with all black, making the scarf the centre point of the look, and added this gong necklace I picked up in Primark a year or so ago.
It's the start of a new week, again, I honestly don't know where time has gone?! Plenty on the to do list this week, busy busy!

COBALT

Clothing and jewellery - Primark
Ring - Primark Mens
Nails - Models Own Tropical Sun
So it seems I'm on a Primark spree recently, oops. I finally got myself a pair of disco pants! Okay, so I know I'm a bit late jumping on the bandwagon, and now everyone has them which is annoying, but at a fraction of the American Apparel price I couldn't not. They're so comfy! I feel like my legs are elastic when I walk, and they suck everything in which is always a bonus.
This t-shirt is actually about 4 sizes larger than my actual size, but it was the last one and I just fell in love with the gorgeous cobalt blue. The rolled sleeve hem gives it a relaxed structure, and the oversize nature means it's an easy throw on. Even though disco pants are opaque enough to wear a top that doesn't cover your bum, I'm not quite there yet. I still like to wear something longer, or wear a strap top underneath to retain my dignity, so this top was great to chuck on before work.
This necklace was an absolute steal! I picked it up for a pound, and even though it's painted green, I've worn it back to front to show only silver - two in one!

PARTY ALL DAY

Steel Panther tee (boyfriend's)
Topshop jeans
Zara shoes
Random outfit today, we're going out to the Bierkeller tonight (metal club) for the boy's 21st, so I thought I'd pop on something slightly more appropriate - saying that, anyone who knows who Steel Panther are, they're far from appropriate in any sense of the word.

I've had these amazing Zara shoes for a while now, it's almost a sin that I haven't posted about them yet! Embellished brogues, a thing of beauty.

Happy Friday! x

ST. PATRICK'S & 48HR FASHION FIX

Silk top - Charity shop
Blazer - New Look
Shirt and tights - Primark
Chelsea boots - So You Shoes
Earrings - Primark
Bracelets -Topshop, gift from Thailand, gifts.
Necklace - Topshop
Happy St. Patrick's day for yesterday lovelies! Did everyone have a good day/eve? As you may know I'm half Irish and was born over there, so I love St. Paddy's day!
I've decided to delve into the world of outfit posts, so I thought yesterday being a 'holiday' where everyone dresses in a lot of green and shamrocks would be fitting. I find photos of myself quite daunting, I'm quite a self-conscious person, but now, I've decided to just accept that this is how I look! So here ya go.
This top is something I picked up in a charity shop a while back for something ridiculous like £1.50. Barg. Its a loose box cut so sits nice as something you can just throw on, yet the silk fabric makes it feel a bit more special.

Barry M - 299 Racing Green & Del Sol - Island Fever
This weekend has been manic.
Saturday, if you're near Bristol you may know that they had a 48hr Fashion Fix where there were pop up shows outside participating Cabot stores such as Harvey Nics, Bank, Miss Selfridge etc. It was such a long day, the shows ran from 11am until 6pm and even though they were only around 2 minutes long with 20 minutes between each one, I was very sleepy by the end. And slightly frozen.
Throughout the day I was assisting renowned photographer Andre Regini who was the official snapper for Cabot. So each show was a rush of adrenaline for a solid 2 minutes whilst I switched in and out heavy, ridiculously expensive cameras. I didn't get to take any of my own photos which is a shame, but I did snap a few Instagrams if you want to have a look.
I then went along to the blogger after party in Picolinos (omg the best food ever) but couldn't stay long because I had work. Boo. I met some lovely bloggers and saw some of the lovely girls that came to the #bbmeet and got to chow down on the most incredible calamari and pizza. Mmmm.

SNOW DAY.

YAY. It's snowing! I'm sure most of you already know this, and have FB newsfeeds inundated with this statement, but it is very exciting. I've already made a mini snowman named Timmy (check the instagram @vicki_louise if you'd like to see) and the boys have made, well, I'll be honest, a 6 foot snow penis. Nice.

I got my boyf to take some photos of me, so I'm actually going to put up an outfit post! Dun dun dun...

Hat, Snood and Mittens - Primark
Tiger head top - Motel
Cardigan - Random cheap shop
Leggings - Tesco (worn with tights underneath)
Coat - River Island
Boots - TK Maxx
Lipstick - Burberry Lip Velvet in Hawthorn Berry
So there you go! What is everyone doing in the snow today? Or do you even have any?? Let me know I'd love some ideas on how to make this the best snow day ever.

Love xx

Black and Gold

Went for a cheeky shop today and thought I'd do my first outfit post! Not sure if I like the photos but I thought it's a start I guess.. Picked up these amazing shoes at a shop called Shoeholics in Kingston - love them - I've been looking for the right pair of slipper shoes for a while now and haven't been able to get some that WOW'd me without breaking my purse, but when I saw these I was decided. The added faux fur makes them feel that bit more expensive to which is always a nice touch.
Also picked up this top from Primark but I'm not entirely convinced - you can't quite see on the picture but the front is a sort of leather look with small holes all over and the back is just plain in a t-shirt shape. I like it but I think I might swap it for a bigger size so it's baggier and more over sized rather than fitted. Other than that, I picked up a few other bits that I'll post on tomorrow :)
Happy Monday x
