#BBMEET AND GLAM GLOW YOUTH MUD

Oh hello there! Yesterday was a great day. I was invited by the lovely Alessia and Sasha to come along to a Bristol/South West blogger meet up, something I have never done before so I jumped at the chance. There was at least 30 bloggers there so it was really nice to mingle and meet everyone, plus there was shopping. Bonus.
You may have seen a few of these posts popping up on your feed at the moment, so do forgive me if you've seen this all before, but Oh-Em-Gee the goody bag was insane.
What's inside you ask? Here's a peak...

The holy grail.... Benefit Fine One One! FULL SIZE!
As you can see we were completely and utterly spoiled. Thank you so much girls for organising such a great day, and bagging all these incredible goodies.

Also, I went for a Valentine themed background this time, it's still Feb. It counts. Plus it's pretty. :)

One of the products in the bag was this face mask from Glam Glow. The 'Hollywood' face lifting mud mask.

TEAOXI™ GREEN TEA LEAF

Groundbreaking patent pending TEAOXI™ is GLAMGLOW’s proprietary continuous time-release technology, delivering daily fresh Super-Squalene, EGCG Super-Antioxidants & Polyphenols direct into the mud from the real pieces of tea leaf contained in our mask. TEAOXI™ is the ‘magic’ behind our powerful anti-aging and anti wrinkle results.

I was intrigued so I thought I'd try it out after my mega-long bath. It has quite a scratchy consistency, and looks just like mud (shocker!). I found that it was quite abrasive and really stingy on my face. I tend to get quite sensitive skin, but this one really did hurt! Ow. Saying that, the stinging did start to ease off after about 6 minutes, so I buffed it off with warm water and padded dry with a towel. I did feel a tightening effect, but not to the extreme I expected, but I have to admit my skin did feel nice after, although it was quite red, which is never the look you want. The redness faded after a while, and my skin still feels quite soft and firm, yet I'm not sure it's as 'WOW' as they proclaim. Maybe that's just me, it could be the best thing you ever try. Let me know if it is! In all, I probably wouldn't buy this again, purely because it retails at around £22.50 for just 15ml! I like it, but not that much. I am still a poor student after all!

Hot stuff right? HA.
It's a good product, just quite stingy on my skin particularly and rather pricey. I feel like I need to whack a load of moisturiser on now though, but I would have put some on anyway so I guess that's a given. I'd have to try it again before makeup to get the true effects I guess, rather than just before bed, but I shall see how I look in the morning. If I wake up looking like Megan Fox I'll be happy!

I hope you're having a nice day? Enjoyed your weekend? Have any of you ever tried this mask before?

Love x

  1. Great to meet you yesterday. I was expecting great things from the mask too. Maybe it's one of those products that needs a few applications to show it working best
