DAJANA BASIC COLLECTION LAUNCH - DETAILS

Here's a few snaps from the Dajana Basic launch. It was such a lovely evening with so much attention to detail that I'm already awaiting her the next collection -  rather impatiently I'll admit. Cocktail reception, sweet and savoury treats, Freya Rose shoes with floral detailing and hand written thank you notes inside every goody bag made out to each individual person. The whole evening felt like a fairytale. And the dresses... Oh those beautiful dresses.
I always find it quite daunting going to events like this on my own, I'm not the best at walking up to someone and just saying hi. When I got there, I had no idea what to expect, who I would see and where the evening would go. Needless to say, I wasn't quite the only one who had rocked up on their lonesome. I met the lovely Zalak, a freelance stylist and the just as lovely blogger Jodie. It's always nice when you meet new people, networking and the lark is great fun when you get over the initial nerves. Plus, popping into a bowling bar in Russel Square with new pals for a drink after the show is always a plus, wouldn't you say?

DAJANA BASIC COLLECTION LAUNCH - THE CATWALK

Dajana Basic, wedding dress collection launch.
Wow. What a stunning collection. Wouldn't you agree?

As of late I was feeling rather blue that I hadn't been a part of the London Fashion Week buzz this September, and have been itching to go to a show for quite some time. Completely out of the blue, I received an email inviting me to come along to Dajana Basic's first wedding dress collection launch night, at Blackall Studios, Shoreditch. Naturally I jumped at the chance!
The collection was based around macarons, and the idea that wedding gowns don't have to be pure white all of the time, a concept that I hadn't even considered for my own dress, until now. The 8 dress line up included delicate lace, incredible tailoring, unusual pattern cutting techniques and sweet accents of pastel colours and pearls - it genuinely made me want to get married tomorrow just so I can parade around like a princess fairy all day in one of her dresses.
My favorite has to be the lilac, I just love the lace overlay and detailing, what do you think?
Nothing in this collection has been over-looked and based on the reaction of the guests, every aaaah, and aaawwww, suggest that this young designer going a long, long way, so watch this space. And if wedding bells are ringing in your life right now, I'd definitely go and check out her gorgeous designs. And make me a bridesmaid. Thanks.

A big thank you to the lovely Marta for getting in touch, and everyone I met for being so darn lovely.

Now... where's my ring Matthew?!

BENEFIT #STAYFLAWLESS BLOGGER EVENT

Benefit has to be one of my favorite cosmetics brands, I just love the cheeky names, the fantastic range of products and the absolutely beautiful packaging. I went to their Fake Up Concealer launch a little while back, which was fantastic - read about that event here if you like - so when I was contacted by lovely Benebabe Lucinda I jumped at the chance to go again!

The event was hosted by the lovely staff from the Benefit HQ, and was held in The Living Room Restaurant and Bar - a wonderful setting. There were decorations everywhere, products dotted around and lots and lots of champagne, everyone had a grin from ear to ear. I certainly wasn't complaining!

Lisa Potter-Dixon (Head makeup artist, trend artist and brow expert) chatted to us about the history of Benefit and gave us all a demo on how to apply the new product - Stay Flawless Primer. Honestly? It looks fantastic. The idea behind it was that most women have the problem that their makeup doesn't stay on for long enough, I can vouch for that. My face literally seems to eat my makeup after about 2 hours. The product is meant to act as a 'makeup magnet', effectively locking in your foundation for up to a whopping 15 hours!

I have to admit I'm dubious, being a major sufferer of the makeup meltdown, so I will be reviewing it in due course and I will let you know how that goes!

Overall the event was a huge success, and I hope I get to attend many more in the future! One of the highlights of the evening, was the fact that we all got to walk away with the most amazing goody bag... Ever.
Plus, they hosted a little quiz to see if we were listening, and I won a prize! I was over the moon to say the least!

Want to see what was in it? Well you'll have to come back tomorrow! Otherwise this would be a very photo heavy post, so I thought I'd split it up and add a little suspense!
You can get yourself a Stay Flawless from June 13th, and trust me, if what I've seen so far is anything to go by, you'll definitely want to.

Are you a benefit fan? What's your favorite product?

Also, a little shout out to the lovely bloggers I met/saw whilst I was there; Karis, Chelsea, Mali, Jade, Hannah and Laura - I hope you enjoyed it just as much as I did!

If you get a chance... pop over and like, share and tweet my entry for ELLE UK's next intern Fashion Director here! Thank you x
