Wow. What a stunning collection. Wouldn't you agree?
As of late I was feeling rather blue that I hadn't been a part of the London Fashion Week buzz this September, and have been itching to go to a show for quite some time. Completely out of the blue, I received an email inviting me to come along to
Dajana Basic's first wedding dress collection launch night, at
Blackall Studios, Shoreditch. Naturally I jumped at the chance!
The collection was based around macarons, and the idea that wedding gowns don't have to be pure white all of the time, a concept that I hadn't even considered for my own dress, until now. The 8 dress line up included delicate lace, incredible tailoring, unusual pattern cutting techniques and sweet accents of pastel colours and pearls - it genuinely made me want to get married tomorrow just so I can parade around like a princess fairy all day in one of her dresses.
My favorite has to be the lilac, I just love the lace overlay and detailing, what do you think?
Nothing in this collection has been over-looked and based on the reaction of the guests, every aaaah, and aaawwww, suggest that this young designer going a long, long way, so watch this space. And if wedding bells are ringing in your life right now, I'd definitely go and check out her gorgeous designs. And make me a bridesmaid. Thanks.
A big thank you to the lovely Marta for getting in touch, and everyone I met for being so darn lovely.
Now... where's my ring Matthew?!
